Donation Drop-Off Sites

If you have second hand books (or DVDS, records, puzzles etc!) you would like to donate to the Great Auckland Bargain Book Sale, you can drop them off at our sorting depot behind the Barfoot & Thompson Stadium Kohimarama any time throughout the year (see website for map and details)

Drop off is via Selwyn College gate 2, left, then follow the road all the way round until you reach the back of the stadium. Mon-Fri 7:00am to 8:00pm Sat/Sun 9:00am to 3:00pm

Barfoot & Thompson Stadium, Kohimarama Rd  –  email gabbsbookfair@gmail.com

We are fortunate to have the support of our Outstations during the month of October. Please look after them by not leaving books outside doors or areas where they cause a hazard. It is only through their assistance that we can collect books from areas where people might not be able to donate.

OUTSTATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THE 2019 BOOK FAIR. A big thanks for all their help last year!

YMCA Ellerslie Recreation Centre: Michaels Ave  –  please place under the entrance stairs – Mon-Fri 6:00am to 8:00pm Sat/Sun 9:00am to 3:00pm

Badminton Hall: Gillies Ave, Epsom  –  please place neatly against the wall in the foyer – 7:00am to 9:00pm

    1. Hi Alison, unfortunately our drop-off sites only accept donations much closer to the time of the fair, usually from September onward. The drop-off point for donations all year round is at the ASB Stadium in Kohimarama. Thanks!

    2. Unfortunately Glenfield is not available, NSEC have been fantastic with their support over the years and are continuing to support the book fair, however we are unable to remove books on a daily basis. We will have a service for drop books off on the 2 middle Saturday’s in October between 09:00 and 3:00pm

    1. Hi Kathy,

Unfortunately we don’t have any other drop-off points near West Auckland. Please see our “Donation Drop-Off Sites” to check if there is another site that could be handy for you.

  4. I’ve just called Te Tuhi to check whether they are a drop-off point as listed above, and they say they aren’t. Should all donations just be taken to ASB Stadium?
